Burlingame serves lunch during Shrimp Festival

During Shrimp Festival on Saturday and Sunday May 6th and 7th, Burlingame will serve smoked brisket and pulled pork sandwiches and local Mayport shrimp rolls.  Get them to go or enjoy lunch and a beer or wine on the deck or in the air-conditioned dining room for a brief break from the crowds and the heat.

These Brown Butter Pecan Pies from the Burlingame kitchen were such a hit at Thanksgiving that we are again selling whole pies for Christmas.  Impress your guests this holiday season with Chef Chad’s spectacular take on an old family recipe.  They have been a house-favorite dessert since we opened in March.

Burlingame is offering whole 9″ Brown Butter Pecan Pies for Christmas for just $25 + tax.  To order call 904-432-7671 by Dec 21.  Leave your name, phone number and number of pies you would like to purchase.  We will call back to confirm the order and obtain pre-payment information.  Pick-up will be at the restaurant (20 South 5th Street in Fernandina Beach) on Christmas Eve between 2:00 pm and 4:00pm.

For Christmas Eve only we will have earlier hours so our team can enjoy the evening with family.  We will open 1/2 hour earlier at  5:00pm and take our last reservation at 8:00pm.

Taste of Amelia – 25th Anniversary

The 25th Anniversary Taste of Amelia Island is just two weeks away.  Join us Friday, November 18th, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Omni Amelia Island Plantation, in the Amelia Ballroom and adjoining lobby. For the first time, Burlingame will be participating in this great annual event.  Chef Chad Livingston is preparing a taste of his exceptional Pork Tenderloin dish from our summer menu.   Come enjoy smokey pork tenderloin & bbq green beans on a Johnny cake at the Burlingame booth and check out the other great fare offered by Amelia Island’s superb restaurants while supporting the Nassau Volunteer Center.

Features

This year sees the return of the island’s best Chefs and Restaurant.  Complimenting the food will be a selection of fine wines, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, live music, and the event’s first-ever “Best Dish of the Taste” award, voted on by attendees.  A completely re-branded event, this year’s silver anniversary Taste will be designed and decorated by Robyn Branch Design, with other special touches provided by our audio-visual partner, Encore Event Technologies.

From fine dining to pub fare to seafood, ethnic food and down home southern country cooking and delicious desserts, this year’s Taste is a foodie celebration.

Chef Chad Livingston chosen for Great Chefs of Amelia Island culinary competition

Burlingame Restaurant is proud to announce Chef Chad Livingston has been selected to help represent the downtown Fernandina restaurants in a culinary competition to support The Barnabas Center.  Chad will join Scottie Schwartz and Kenny Gilbert on Team Fernandina in the competition to be held September 8th at the Ritz Carlton, Amelia Island.
