Progress: Burlingame Restaurant Takes Shape

We have made a lot of progress on the construction of Burlingame in the past month.  In the last blog posting, I mentioned the great crew helping transform Burlingame from a mildly run down office to a stunning restaurant where you can enjoy special dinners.

To that support team we can now add:
* Nathan and Nate and the team from Johnny’s Electric IMG_2844have made tremendous progress

*  Dave Turner Plumbing who have ripped through our floors and promise to make them beautiful again

IMG_2860* Ed’s Comfort Solutions has recently arrived on the scene to add our A/C and heating systems,

* Domestic Design Roofing, more agile people than I, have reroofed our steep building and made it weatherproof – that’s real progress!

We now have windows installed, most of our electrical roughed in, a bar in place just waiting for the beautiful piece of granite from Belmarmi in Neptune Beach, and the foundations of our beautiful dining deck. These few photos don’t do justice to the amount of work that has been completed. Burlingame is really coming along.

Next steps are to complete the rough-in of electrical, plumbing and HVAC.  We’re also about to run all our cabling for the computer network, point of sale system, security and audio systems.  Our hood is being built and kitchen equipment is on order.  We have been interviewing candidates for our Front of House Manager and Sous Chef and hope to announce the appointment of the perfect additions to our management team soon.  A few resumes for servers, bartenders, hostesses and line cooks have come in through our Craigslist advertisement: Burlingame Job Advertisement on Craigslist

Chad Dougherty, aka Jeffe – our General Contractor Extraordinaire, believes we’ll accelerate progress and still make our opening target of February.  We’ve gotta have faith in Jeffe!

NEXT UP: Chef Chad’s opening menu and his philosophy for the cuisine of Burlingame.
